Starlink Has 42,000 UK Broadband Customers

Actually, they do but you have to log into 'your account' area via their website.
For whatever reason they don't allow you to do it from their phone app.

You then have a choice to go back to your old subscription package (residential) or move to their more expensive ones.
Actually there wasn't the option on the regular website either.

My account was active, and has been since Feb '21 but the subscription has been mothballed or red 'inactive' displayed above it since Jan '22. Perhaps that was the issue. Either way there was absolutely no way to reactivate the sub either from the website or the phone app.

I know on my Starlink account, 'Your Starlinks' page shows 'red/inactive' as I cancelled it a few months back, but clicking on the 'Manage' button, the next page has 'Activate Service' available on it.

Like you said, It could be that it's been almost 2 years since you last had a service and may have been the reason why it wasn't there?
Whatever the reason, it's poor from Starlink not having it available.

My main grip was the lack of response from their help team.

4 days to reply is just insane and completely unacceptable, especially given the premium pricing of this product.

I too was soo close to getting Startlink and I'm not even rural! was just stuck with 20/5 fttc, the 100-300mb from starlink would have been so nice! and crurently now we had Virgin install the whole town, there is a lot of Starlink kit for sale around this area, so people did take up the offer.

Prior to FTTP appearing in my village.. I too was going to Starlink.

The variableness of upload minute to minute and lack of public IPv4 were the roadblocks.
