got this email today as well, i'm a bit confused by the "international travel" option. Isn't this what you got with roaming before too? or do they mean outside your own continent now? not sure as it's not explained

answering my own question here, it does look like you get to use it anywhere they've got service. so that's quite nice. it's probably not something i'll use since i had all of europe covered anyway but I found this in the FAQ:

Included with the Starlink "Roam" Service Plan:

  • Unlimited or 50GB of data
  • Countrywide coverage within country of account address
  • In-motion use up to 100 Mph / 160 Kph
  • Ability to pause and un-pause service at any time (billing is in one-month increments)
  • International travel in available markets for up to 2 months per trip
  • Coastal coverage in territorial waters for up to 2 months per trip
  • For Roam 50GB, ability to opt into purchasing additional data by the GB is supported

(Starlink no longer supports the Best Effort Service Plan)

Sounds like everyone gets the same service now.

I was tempted to buy the mini. But the new pricing looks absolutely naff.
