Can you get bridge mode working too?
Hi there, just signed up to say thanks and advise that this also worked for the B715, although I did have to use the github files from your other post.Make sure you have node.js installed from here:- https://nodejs.org/en/download/
Got to this page https://github.com/jinxo13/HuaweiB525Router and click on the green "Clone or Download" button > Download Zip. Unzip the file
Glad it worked, and a good spot on the wrong GitHub page - I've corrected the post!Hi there, just signed up to say thanks and advise that this also worked for the B715, although I did have to use the github files from your other post.
Its just a .bin file. I updated it and it left my settings all the same. Definately seems more stable.Does that firmware come with the config setup too? Just wondering if it'd update all version of the B535?
I'm currently running H191SP4C983 and it says on mine no updates available.
Where is this latest firmware if we want to manually update? Its just a .bin file. I updated it and it left my settings all the same. Definately seems more stable.
Apparently the C983 denotes the region/area the device is set too. So the update will take you from SP4 to SP63.
Okay, I can now confirm the the MTU change has made zero difference. I am seeing peak download speeds of 105 down and 31 up but still perhaps 1 in 5 web pages fail to load first time for a few hours each day. With the kids both playing online, I guess I'm going to have to get the FTTC connection live again and go back to download speeds in the low 20s....Hi there, just signed up to say thanks and advise that this also worked for the B715, although I did have to use the github files from your other post.
At first an MTU of 1440 actually made things worse for general browsing. After some experimenting and noticing that the xbox network test kept on reporting an MTU of 1386, I settled on an MTU of 1414 and so far so good. The xbox network test now shows no packet loss and the ping has dropped from 200ms to 80ms. The Sonos is also much more responsive.
It is still early days though as sometimes a simple reboot seemed to fix it for me previously for a day or so. So not concluding that its fixed....yet..!

Have you considered the B535 from three? You can get it for £29 + £30 1 month contract, but you can return for free in cooling off period if it doesnt help with your connection issues.Okay, I can now confirm the the MTU change has made zero difference. I initially used a B525 and had the same issues, so upgraded to the B715 suspecting I had a router fault initially. The B715 is on the latest firmware that I can find, but its really hard to find any.Have you considered the B535 from three? Sounds more like a signal quality issue. what are your signal values like? SINR for example is important for stable connections.I initially used a B525 and had the same issues, so upgraded to the B715 suspecting I had a router fault initially. As the problem was seen on both routers, I'm fairly confident the issue is with the 3 network (or at least local parts of it).
It seems like DNS servers just stop, but I've obviously changed them multiple times to see.
For what its worth, the download speeds of the B715 against the B525 when connected to the same attic aerial are 105 vs 70. Not related to my problem, but potentially useful to someone!

Also adding a VPN has helped some people?
Well there is nothing wrong with the signal quality. What sort of antenna are you using?Using HuaCtrl
RSSI is greater than 51
RSRQ is between -4db and -8db
RSRP is between 78 and 79 dBM
SINR fluctuates from from 20 to greater than 26.
I have tried a VPN and it fixed the freezing but there was a serious loss of speed and general snappiness.
Its a Poynting 4G-XPOL-A0002.Well there is nothing wrong with the signal quality. What sort of antenna are you using?
Well it seems like you have the perfect setup and good stats. Do you get the same issues without the external antenna, I know the stats wont be the same? Its a Poynting 4G-XPOL-A0002.
