Swish who?

Team of 20 workmen turned up first thing this morning clattering work barriers around the entire quiet semi-rural cul-de-sac. They put the barriers up either side of every bit of pavement leaving no space for residents to get thru. After several residents tried to leave the close for the day, the workmen rethought and removed almost all the barriers, leaving just 2 little sections for them to work on...
Turns out the stay at home entertainment for today was provided by Swish Fibre who seem to have agreed to put 10G capable fibre in. We had not notice or warning from the council or anyone about the disruption or duration.

So who is Swish? They advertise 900Mbps broadband at 5 times the cost we currently pay for 70Mbps. Where does the 10G come in?
I googled about and seems like Swish from nowhere is trying to compete with openreach and virginmedia. Are they just going to be the infrastructure provider so we can get cheaper fttp later?

Anybody know anything about Swish?

@Mark.J - Has covered them quite a lot -

They just knocked to apologise for the disruption and forgotten letter drop to notify. Bloke explained that they were supposed to be going up to each premises but they do not have the "Wayleaves" in place, so they are just digging up the public areas this week. and come back in a few weeks to finish the rest once they have the wayleaves in place.
I had never heard the term wayleave before, but seems it is agreement from the landowner. Since they haven't contacted any resident before now, I don't think we'll see them again this year... or do they have some way around this?
Unless they offer some kind of incentive or introductory deals like virgin/c&w did in other areas back in the 90s, can't see it will happen, especially if they just turn up like this...

The wayleave will usually only come into play when a specific property/resident orders a service that requires fibre. Until then the fibre remains in the public highway. There will be an existing wayleave for Electricity, Gas (if you have it), Water and Openreach giving them some limited rights to site their equipment on your property and to obtain ongoing access to it (through a court if necessary). Wayleaves acan be "fun" in commercial property and some landlords can be complete nightmares to agree to them.
