o.k I'm hoping someone might have some advice for me. I'm currently signed up with Demon, and very happy with their service but I'm experiencing an intermittent sync problem. It used to be that every so often every couple of weeks, for a period of a few days I'd get constant resync problems where my netgear adsl modem would disconnect then reconnect constantly for a couple of hours. Eventually I got tired of it and bought another modem to see if that would work, the new one being an Edimax. Now recently in the past month or so it's not just disconnecting for a few minutes its completely losing sync for hours at a time, sometimes as long as 20 hours in a day before coming back online for 4-5 hours in the afternoon. Then however it gets better and I have no problems at all for another couple of weeks. Now yesterday morning we had a leak in one of our pipes in the attic which hit the electrics and tripped the house switch. pipes were patched up and everything put right but since then adsl won't sync at all. I've bought a new microflter and tried that, I have three adsl modems, one netgear two edimax, none can get a sync, it's been like this for around 30+ hours now. Now obviously I should report this to Demon, but as they've pointed out to me before, the line has to be down for 24 hours beforfe BT will look at it, and then if they find no problem I'll end up getting charged. Knowing how my luck works if I report the problem tomorrow, the fault will clear up over the weekend and BT will turn up on monday or tuesday to find nothing wrong. Can anyone suggest anything that could be causing the problem? I can't understand what would have caused this and it's really pissing me off.
