TalkTalk residential is basically OK as far as the service goes. Support is also OK for normal admin, not good for problems that are out of the ordinary. The forum staff take about 3 days to respond to a post(that was the norm whenever I've dealt with them - within last 18 months).
Actually when there was a fault on TT residential, local fibre line break, they gave detailed updates - almost to the level of describing what was in the BT engineer's sandwiches.
TalkTalk Business(pretty cheap but 24 month contract) have UK support and little to no call waiting times - good reviews on Trustpilot.
If TT residential had telephone/chat UK support they'd be a pretty decent ISP.
