Zen do this sometimes, I'm much closer to Manchester than London and usually end up on their Manchester gateway, but occasionally I'll get bounced across to a London gateway after a disconnection or because of maintenance and my ping jumps. It used to happen fairly regularly on FTTC but hasn't yet happened on FTTP, fingers crossed.well my boy was on vodafone fttp CF, his ping was 2ms from Southen on sea to London.
then randomly vodafone change the BNG and so his ping has been 8-10ms. i wouldnt recommend vodafone if you care about ping.
TT the best.
