Test sims for 5g speed checking

I'm living next to a building festooned with aerials and getting a good 5g signal from Three on my Huawei router using Smarty.

I'd like to check the speed from the other three 5g suppliers and when I asked last week about the cheapest sim cards I was told to look at these.

"You could get a 20gb sim from Lyca which uses the o2 network for £2.89

Lebara (Vodafone) 20gb £2.99

1pMobile might be a better option for testing EE,
"

SpeedTest uses about 400/500 mbs so the 1pMobile deal of a penny per mb is not appealing.

The other two deals for o2 and Vodafone I simply can't find and assume the deals the posters found have expired.

Can we start again please and, mentioning the obvious, I really don't want to have to fiddle around with credit checks and contracts that have to be cancelled.

So now I'm hearing it is not proper EE. I did not see that in the T&C

For what it's worth Tony, it does state no speed restrictions on their website. (1p Mobile)

So hopefully this will be the case for you when your sim arrives.🤞

Sorry I think you might be talking about something other than 1p mobile, not sure. I'm easily confused. ☺️

Maybe its changed, they used to be Speed Capped on the EE Network, and there was some discussions about 5G not being live yet.

End of the day, try it, and see what you get, but Im not sure how your going to compare the Speeds on EE without also using a EE Sim?

They have 5G now, but it was disabled by default when I got my SIM:

I don't know if they have a speed cap or if traffic is deprioritised, but when I tested in July this year, 5G was working and peaked higher than 4G:
