There is really no way to know?

Hi,
I've moved in this building 3 years ago with the hope that better connection to copper will come.
At the moment my connection is a 60mbs/s copper with Sky.

4G is really slow except EE that costs too much every month.

I'm a tech enthusiast and my copper connection is often coughing between 40 and 60 mbs/s.

I live in Hatfield (hertz) near Hatfield Park. Although the village center is connected with fast 5G and mix of fiber/virgin , my building is not reached by none of the fast technology.

Openreach website says that they have started re-building my exchange but I'm not able to find any information about where and if they will come in my propriety.
Same for hyperoptic. They actually sent an email to me "we are coming to your area" months ago but I'm not sure if it was an error at this point.

Virgin media runs up to our doorstep, I've asked them but they don't want to "Expand" to our flats.

I've enquired Kerberos for dedicated, they answered with an operach quote of £10k to bring the fiber at my propriety 300mbs/s.

Is my quest of finding answers useless and I just have to wait or there is a way to know?

By phone?

Starlink? But flats --- that might be tricky. Do you have a balcony?

@Tony Gamble not sure what you mean with by phone :)
@superglue I've been looking into that but my household exceeded fair usage in average. (TV, downloads we exceed 600GB months). Plus I'm scared of close Nats and all limitations that comes with 4G connections..

@dee.jay starlink doesn't look that great honestly compared to 4G, plus I really need low latency..

I had an EE Scancomm sim for just over a year and routinely doubled the FUP 'limit' and sometimes tripled it without any side effects (Note I was using it on 4G not 5G)

How low do you need?

Starlink is way better than 4G for speed at least.

Starlink has very good latency nowadays, frequently see it below 25 ms...

Hi jpm,
thank you for the link.

I've tried approaching Hyperoptic but they replied saying that they needed 80% of the flat registering. I've personally sent letters to all the flats but I'm not 100% sure if they did it or not.

I've been in contact with MDU from Openreach multiple times during the last 2 years but they always told me they had no plan to build in my building. Now the map shows they are starting work in my village but still no news.

Cerberus at the time sent me the quote with the text:
Thank you for requesting an estimate of the installation costs for FTTP on Demand at Hatfield, .

We have now received the estimate of the charges from BT. These are detailed below.

Estimated Build Cost: £9,900.00

The build charge includes the estimate for the work and materials required to deliver the service. It also includes connection charges.
