Thread Title

I just tried to sign up with plus net
not going to sevice quality or spped anymore but iI don't have a land line so no dice. Not to worry i can go with origin they ate even cheaper. Unfortunately they don't accept anyone using Linux.
It looks like I am going to have to go for a quality ISP after all.

likely support issues
Not providing support is one thing, refusing to supply a connection is another.

What about Mac, tablets, smart TVs, IoT, etc? Will they refuse to supply a connection if you intend to connect anything that isn't a Windows PC? I don't think so.

I'd be surprised if the connection was refused due to the OS platform, I think that's more likely a misinterpretation by the OP. ISPs don't block users by operating system as it's irrelevant. It'll be a support issue.

What does the operating system you use have to do with a broadband connection?
I am assuming thatt the problem of getting my applications accepted is something to do with the operating system that the ISP I was trying to sign up with is not capable of sevicing enquiries from a Linux user.
Obviously I can't prove this, perhaps somene using Linux can attempt to sign up with them to cross check?

Get hold of an upto date Mageia 6 Linux OS and tell me you managed to succeed where I failed.

Are you talking about a problem with the sign-up form itself, such as a website browser based issue? A bit more detail would help. The solution there would be to try using a different website browser. I have also noticed that TalkTalk's website is poorly coded and seems to break under certain conditions.

Talking about weather, I have been at Zen for almost 15 years and only just found out we have a weather station on the roof.

You obviously spend far too much time at your desk working.
I would ask for a pay rise!!
