BTW had three's tech support phone again - they said they couldn't find the device on their network. i said well that's probably a good place to start as it's been on all day. But it seems taking out the sim card and giving it a wipe is all they can say.
Did you say why are you billing me for something I’m not using lol.
The system spilt (and newer 3 payg app on the old system) had been having major issues lately, something isn’t right at Three.
Logging into the new my3 only works properly when you click on a link that passes you to the old my3 system, IF you can get in in the first place haha, literally Three is having a TSB upgrade crash but it’s easier to hide such when it’s not a bank and less irate customers aren’t social media’ing
when connecting the TV to the router have tried both wifi and ethernet - they connect, but when opening an app i get Network is unstable error. with ethernet, i did change the cable when i got the new router
SSID - the 2.4 and 5ghz are both named differently - but might try renaming them as I am willing to try anything!
Are you connected to WAN or Ethernet? I’m not sure about this routers specs or options on the firmware but no way should that be happening using a brand new Ethernet with settings that are correct in the router, Wi-fi that wouldn’t be unusual, esp with other things nearby with electromagnetics as most people have. I’ve seem people with 4/5G routers ontop of their microwave in the kitchen hahaha, numpties.
is the firmware 3 branded ?
If you have the option of hot swapping with 2.4/5GHz Wi-fi automation in the router settings try that, IF your TV supports both, with the same name SSID maybe it will work?.
Don’t just switch Ethernet off in the settings either when you do this with Wi-fi, unplug the Ethernet either end, if you have a Wi-fi issue (TV) it maybe reporting the Ethernet as not connecting not the Wi-fi, again I say this as I am not aware of your TV model (LG Web OS?) and how it reported connection issues.
Just worth mentioning that’s all, not assuming you are doing or not doing such.
I’ve had the same with Android TV & 4G LTE router myself before, I for the life of me can’t remember what the problem was though lol but I did sort it through all the self fault diagnoses.
Try 2.4/5Ghz broadcasting separately, one on at a time, I’ve seen a TV fail on one band but fine on the other, chips and software updates do play up after all.
