Hi there,
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the below issue and if they have found a fix.
I have a Huawei CPE PRO H112-370 provided by Three and I'm on their 5G network. We have recently started getting massive variation in the download speed and ping/jitter on our connection. The jitter is so bad it makes video calls very difficult - there is a graph in Google Meet showing latency and I regularly see it up around 1s when the connection is at it's worst. What's odd is that restarting the router seems to reset the connection.
For example, I have just done a speed test:
Ping: 30ms
Jitter: 906ms
Download: 22.9 Mbps (this starts off low and gradually rises throughout the test)
Upload: 17.4 Mbps (this is pretty consistent throughout the test)
I then restart the router, run another speedtest and get the following:
Ping: 17ms
Jitter: 33ms
Download: 90 Mbps (still gradually rising throughout the test)
Upload: 14.7 Mbps
I have seen speeds close to 200 Mbps previously. This issue started happening a few weeks ago. We had the service for around a month with no issues whatsoever. It seems quite random how often a restart is required - for example today I have restarted the router 3 times but I hadn't had to do it for a couple of days before this.
I know I can't really compare as it's 4G but I have a Huawei P30 Pro on Three 4G and consistently get around 80 Mbps download - I never have any similar jitter issues.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so were you able to fix it?
Thanks
