Three 5g range?

I live in a new build, and my house has appalling fibre - i have tried Vodafone ,bt and currently use now broadband (branch of sky) The download is around 30mbps, upload 10. This isn't too bad for me personally, but any time i go on FIFA or my sons go on any of the games they play the connection drops randomly. Three 5g isnt in my area currently, but the coverage checker says i have outdoor coverage - and i live very close to the indoor coverage. Google maps tells me the nearest 5g mast is 900m away. Would 5g coverage reach my house, or is it not worth the hassle.

It's going to depend entirely on the environment. Your best bet is to find someone with a 5G phone on Three and just... see if it works :D

My nearest 5g mast is 2 miles away according to Google Maps. From Three's coverage map, the area near my home is outdoor only with a small pocket of white, i.e. no coverage at all at my home. By sheer luck I found a small spot in a bedroom window where my router just catches a 5G signal. In that spot it is consistent and surprisingly stable considering the rsrp is only about -102. I typically get 300mb/s down 20mb/s up.
Had I relied on my phone I wouldn't have found it because the phone can only see 4g+ at my property indoors, in the loft or outside. It isn't as sensitive as the router. Also, had I not got lucky with the router in that one small spot I would have missed it.
So in short, you might get lucky as on paper you seem to be in a better position than I am, but radio signals are funny things. If you want to take a chance be prepared to send the router back if it doesn't work out.

I should add, if you're gaming then pings might be important. Mine are typically around 30-40ms with a wi-fi connection. Not being a gamer myself I have no idea if that is sufficient.

It's possible it does reach you.
Best to borrow a 5G phone with a Three SIM and test.
Also test other providers as well who could prove more stable in the long run, such as EE or Vodafone.

Will three still let me buy the router - even though they say there is no coverage in my area?

Kind of... I had the same situation, you have to enter a postcode that is serviceable to get to the 5G page, then you can put your own data in and it works with no issue (and has no ties to the original postcode)

I done some testing the other day, 3.7 miles line of sight across open fields to an antenna and I got -85 rsrp and 700Mb down on Three so it depends on the environment. Conversely at home I'm about 0.5 miles from my local 5G mast, loads of houses and foliage in the way, rsrp of -112 and 150Mb down.

Just got 5G broadband today one of my phone's could pick up coverage every now and then in my house and around my small town but was very unstable with no configuration on the 5G router hitting anything from 200-250mbps across 2 miles of open fields in a area where there is no coverage yet hope it stays this way

It's destroying my BT72 FTTC which normally sits at about 50-60
