Three censored change.org???

I just tried to sign a petition on change.com because I agreed with what the petition was about. Only to my supprise, the website wouldn't load on my 5G three Broadband. No worries, I'll just switch to my Smarty mobile data. Nada. Nothing. Ok, well the site must be down as  surely they wouldn't block a site like that....
Went to get my iPad, it didn't load on wifi on there. Flicked it onto Virgin 4G and the site loaded without a hitch. What the hell three, this censorship is too much.

It's still ok here Bubbles.
Ah good it's ok now for you I see.

I'm either very stupid or three fixed it very quickly 😂. Didnt work on iPhone 13 with Smarty 5G, didn't work on my nothing phone with Smarty 5G, didn't work on the Three WiFi, but it loaded fine on Virgin Inbetween all this.

I'll believe you just this once Bubbles, hundreds wouldn't. :giggle:

I have had problems accessing some websites with Three that aren’t a problem with Talkmobile/Vodafone.

I get the ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR error message.

I think ISPreview is falling to bits too tonight, I've had a few database errors.

Bad font for me but I remember posting on here before that a site about donating to victims of child abuse was being blocked only on Three connections, and it fixed itself an hour or two later

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence." :)

I think Three's "adult" filter is a bit too enthusiastic occasionally. If you use the app or ask them to remove it you may get fewer of these odd occurrences.
I found this when I was with Three until recently. For my first few months, I didn't bother to get the "adult" filter removed as I don't want to visit "adult" sites, but I found it was blocking various random things and causing sporadic connection problems like the ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR mentioned above. Eventually, I used the automated credit card method to get it taken off.

It seemed odd that it was in place in the first place, given that you have to be 18+ to take out a contract, and even odder that you have to use a credit card to get it taken off. My current provider, Voxi, has a setting in the control panel with no credit card or ID required to disable the block.

They can also turn it off via live chat if you don't want to use the credit card malarkey. :giggle:

The Three filter is definitely dodgy. I had the adult block removed, but still sometimes the thing backfires. Last week couldn't access chatgpt for a little while. Very random.

There used to be a time a few years ago when it kept turning back on every so often, that was very annoying.

Been fine for me since though. (y)
