Three Coverage Map Gone Weird (Again) 4G Blanket coverage

I'm being advised they do not cover that area for 3g, 4g and 5g.

Code:
Unfortunately, mobile internet, calls, or texts aren't available right now.

..snip..

The only time I ever actually see 3G these days is when I’m somewhere kinda rural.

Looks at phone.

H+

Go upstairs in my house, full 5G signal <15ms and 500mbit+ yeah three is weird.

Beam-forming on MaMIMO can be very good, sometimes giving n78 (3500MHz) as much coverage (with clear LoS) as B3 (1800MHz), however it can't change physics regarding signal penetration.

I assume upstairs removes some physical barriers, allowing n78 to get to you? It's maybe hard to tell but does your 3G come from the same site as the 5G?

3G seems to be coming from the mast at the end of the road that the council refused planning permission for (to replace with a 3POW). The 5G comes from a different (albeit closer) mast. But for whatever reason, around here they like the hide masts amongst the trees. Not convinced that's all that wonderful for signal.

I see H+ quite regularly around here (Bedford) and I see a lot of 5G too.

I thought it might be a different site for 3G vs 5G. Without knowing/seeing your exact home/LoS/location it kind of makes sense what you're experiencing (in my head anyway!). Also, quite possibly, you're located between sectors of the 5G site whereas you're in the bore sight of a sector of the 3G one.

Probably to appease the NIMBY's Out of sight, out of mind!
