..snip..
The only time I ever actually see 3G these days is when I’m somewhere kinda rural.
Beam-forming on MaMIMO can be very good, sometimes giving n78 (3500MHz) as much coverage (with clear LoS) as B3 (1800MHz), however it can't change physics regarding signal penetration.Looks at phone.
H+
Go upstairs in my house, full 5G signal <15ms and 500mbit+ yeah three is weird.
3G seems to be coming from the mast at the end of the road that the council refused planning permission for (to replace with a 3POW). The 5G comes from a different (albeit closer) mast. But for whatever reason, around here they like the hide masts amongst the trees. Not convinced that's all that wonderful for signal.Beam-forming on MaMIMO can be very good, sometimes giving n78 (3500MHz) as much coverage (with clear LoS) as B3 (1800MHz), however it can't change physics regarding signal penetration.
I assume upstairs removes some physical barriers, allowing n78 to get to you? It's maybe hard to tell but does your 3G come from the same site as the 5G?
Ah thanks, yes that is the old 4G coverage map which would be more "representative" of Band 3 signal. But doesn't seem to take into account of hills, tree, houses etcHTC One
Probably to appease the NIMBY's Out of sight, out of mind! But for whatever reason, around here they like the hide masts amongst the trees. Not convinced that's all that wonderful for signal.
