Yes its odd, if you have a Huawei router unlocked from another provider and stick on Three then any update will be from the first provider and not Three.
Then you will get the updates from Huawei direct. But mine was never from another provider. It came sim free and unlocked.
I wonder how you can tell if it's from Huawei or carrier, my CPE Pro 2 updated when I first got it and it had a Voxi sim in it.Then you will get the updates from Huawei direct.
That's another strange Huawei router policy, you get one OTA update and no more, any further updates seem to have to be using the forced method by PC and USB cable and drivers etc.I wonder how you can tell if it's from Huawei or carrier, my CPE Pro 2 updated when I first got it and it had a Voxi sim in it.
10.0.5.13 (H612SP5C1217)
Never had any updates since then.
Not too bothered as it's working great, but it would be nice to know it's trying to keep up kommando828.That's another strange Huawei router policy, you get one OTA update and no more, any further updates seem to have to be using the forced method by PC and USB cable and drivers etc.
I haven't changed anything yet because reading up the thread none of the changes worked for the poster as far as I could see.Have you created a ivp4 apn?
This seems to have worked for me, was having problems with my TVs using Netflix but added the new profile with those details and all seems to be good now.think i might of just fixed this issue as ive purchased the same router from three. i have gone onto the EE forums and used advice given on there and changed the APN: Name - 3internet APN - everywhere Username: 3secure Password - secure this has worked for me and i was having issues with youtube, facebook, firestick, alexa, most google search were timing out before loading. give it a shot.

Likely by entering that bogus apn you might have ended up on the "three.co.uk" apn, dedicated to mobile phones, as opposed to their (default?) "3internet" one dedicated to mobile broadband.think i might of just fixed this issue as ive purchased the same router from three. i have gone onto the EE forums and used advice given on there and changed the APN: Name - 3internet APN - everywhere Username: 3secure Password - secure this has worked for me and i was having issues with youtube, facebook, firestick, alexa, most google search were timing out before loading. give it a shot.
No idea, Im still getting about 300 down and 30 up so not sure if there are any downsides but seems a lot better than not even being able to use Netflix.Likely by entering that bogus apn you might have ended up on the "three.co.uk" apn, dedicated to mobile phones, as opposed to their (default?)
