Three mc801a questions

Hello,
I have a ZTE mc801a router supplied by three.
Bit of a strange story, they essentially lost all my contract information and said they have no record of the router existing so are not asking for it back.
In my current area, 5g signal is strong but three broadband offer only 4g. If I want to sign back up with them, they will send me a new 4g router.

I'm not sure if the router I have is locked to three. Is there any way I can find out, and any advice on whether I can just buy a cheaper data only sim and continue using the device?

Thanks!

Plugged my voxi sim in - it was able to read the sim fine, didn't ask me to enter an unlock code or anything. But I had no network connection.

You'll probably just have to edit or add the Voxi APN Kumo.
Routers don't always get the APN added correctly.

Currently it's just me in the house, and at that price it will pay for itself in just over 9 months (assuming comparing it to £20 for smarty or something similar) so I am willing to try it out until then!
Thanks so much for the help everyone. The Internet is a special place ❤️
