Three/MF286D strange behaviour (IPv6?)

I am using a MF286D (Nordic) on Three in Bridge Mode with a Fritzbox 7590 doing everything else. This setup worked without any problems for well over six months now.

This morning, the internet connection was down. The FB reported a "DHCPv4 lease timeout" at 01:30 this morning followed by "DCHCPv4 no answer on DISCOVER" a few minutes later. A manual reconnect did not help.

Looking at the MF286D user interface, I could see a value for WAN IPv6 Address! Normally, both WAN IPv4 Address and WAN IPv6 Address just show "- -".
Restarted the MF286D, problems persisted
Changed the APN settings (3internet APN) from IPv4v6 to IPv4 and everything was working fine again.
Changed back to IPv4v6, but unable to turn on 4G connection.

So, I changed the APN type back to IPv4 and everything is fine, but I wonder what is going on here? Did anyone out there have similar issues?

Does the router support dual stack IPv4v6?
both the MF286D and the FB should support IPv6 (according to the specs). I tried to get IPv6 to work but did not succeed as Three don't support it.
Setting the APN type to IPv4v6 only makes the UE rquest that PDP type, depending what is subscribed (and supported by the network) you get either an IPv4, IPv6 or both IP addresses.
Looks as if Three changed (or rather tried) something on the network which did not quite work.

I have a MF286D with H3G original firmware. Three recently released a firmware update (from B04 to B07) and IPv6 now works fine.

On another MF286D that was a Three firmware now Nordic B11 (B02 modem) I still need to keep the APN as IPv4 only.

Have you got a backup of MTD8 and MTD9?
