Three punishing upload speed when using B32?

Hi all,
I use Three for rural broadband, got 20ft mast and Iskra antennas and am 8km from the eNodeB.

Typically, I use B3 as primary with B32 as that's the best bandwidth and have seen upwards of 200mbps down and 20mbps up.

However, there's a weird issue when for a few weeks at a time, the download drops to ~100mbps and upload barely ~10mbps.

I made the same conclusion every time. Congestion.

However, swapping out the B32 last night for B1 CA saw my download speed stay the same but upload go back to 20mbps+.

It's not the first time I've seen this over the course of the contact and does eventually revert back.

So, does Three punish your upload speeds for using B32 to download?

The issue really with B32 is that it’s downlink only. I tend to find that when I’m indoors B20 + B32 SDL CA is active and it has a detrimental effect on upstream sometimes less than 1-2mbit/s. If you’re connected to Band 3 or Band 1 + B32 SDL then performance will be better because the upstream is going through the less congested B1 or 3.

Well that's the question, why does using B32 as an SDL CA cause the upload to tank -periodically- ?

Been using B20 and B32 at 8 miles away from mast, upload is approx 8mbs which is all B20. B32 has no upload capability at all, B3 B20 and B1 all do upload.

If youre connected to Band 1 or 3 and have a band 32 SDL add then there really shouldn’t be any problems as the uplink would be through Bands 1 or 3. So no there shouldn’t be any issues.

If youre connecting through band 20 then those are the only circumstances I’d expect you to have slow uplink.

I'm band locking to band 3, so when using B1 or B32 it's purely aggregation only. But like I say, it's weird because when using B32, the B3 upload is effectively halved.
