I wanted a contingency broadband service so I got a Smarty sim (the data alowances are a good price) and put it in a spare Samsung S10e that I have. No mobile data, after discussions with the online help the advice was to set the phone to 2/3g only and it worked. I have found the same with another Samsung phone that I have.
Can anybody explain why this is please. Actually the 3g speed was not bad and certainly better than the 18Mbps quoted by Three to be the expectation. I have looked up the coverage map and it says work is going on in the area, it has said this since December last year and also says it for any other postcode I put in. Again any info would be appreciated.
