Curiously, today I thought I'd try the MF286D on the parabolics again, setting the VN007+ aside.
It's been up all day, same configuration, nothings changed.
Initially, I was getting 140-170Mbps down but during the course of the day this has steadily dropped to around 100Mbps.
What's even more curious is despite it wavering, the average is usually around the 100Mbps mark and 20Mbps up.
My question is, can Three see that I'm using a budget friendly MF286D and figure that because it's budget friendly they'll throttle it's performance?
Likewise if I switched to a premium router, e.g. NR5103E, should I expect to see an improvement?
