Three UK's 5G has been acting oddly the past few weeks.
It honestly looks like some intern has been let wild messing with reconfiguring their routers and firewalls.
Here's what I've noticed:
* Last week DNS randomly stopped working for about 10 mins. Then it was working fine again. Looked like port 53 UDP was blocked to the whole internet.
* ~Monday pings stopped working. They just started working again 5 mins ago. TCP and UDP traffic is fine, but anything ICMP won't get any response past my local router. Makes dead web pages just take forever to load rather than give an error right away.
* Yesterday they blocked port 80 and 443 for a few mins. But ssh worked fine. And a few mins later, all was fine again.
There seem to be massive random slowdowns too - like speeds dropping so slow I can't even get a speedtest site to load, and then speeding up again 10 mins later. But the connection isn't totally dead in these periods - a few packets still get in and out. I assume some loadbalancing config is wrong.
Can someone tell the intern to stop messing about?
