Three Unlimited = unlimited

Just dropped in my local Three store in Plymouth and the manager confirms that unlimited = unlimited and that there is no FUP on unlimited contracts on phones/broadband or sims, whether the contract was purchased in the shop or on-line.

Be interesting to see if anyone else has information that is different?

As i thought, it would be silly for three to reintroduce a FUP.

I'm pretty sure the Man in any Network Mobile Phone Shop will tell you what you want to hear in order to get the connection numbers up and hit thier Targets.

Sadly no three 5G here, can't even get 4G+ on Three, so I'm stuck with EE and Voda for any sniff 5G Signal, even through I got excelent 4G+ on both Networks I can pull in a decent n78 from about 9 miles away with some Antenna trickery. If Three was to put one of those Poles of Wonge near me I would be all over it considering the UL Costs.

My honest belief is Three"s no FUP on UL Data is on borrowed time, with or without Vodafone, I reckon it will start to creep in once thier 5G Network starts getting hammered in peak times, so just enjoy, while you can.

THREE may not state an FUP as the others do but they still have the following in their terms which I regard as being effectively the same:

"may deploy traffic management measures, known collectively as TrafficSense™, across the Three Network to protect the network and to ensure an enjoyable internet experience for the vast majority of our customers ...... We reserve the right to review and amend any such measures from time to time."

Although data would not be capped at a specific figure to get to that data consumption you would have to utilise high data use. Policies could be set at generic or discrete account level.

I don't want to start the argument again, but if you're using >1tb per month over mobile data, then maybe you're the problem and not Three!

Having said that, I do agree that Unlimited should be unlimited.
No speed restrictions
No data caps

A speed restriction is, for all intents and purposes, a data cap.
Usage = speed x time
If you limit the speed in which you can download the data, then you're limiting the amount of data a person can use in a month, just without explicitly saying it.

I agree with you, accept for the "Home Broadband" offering from Three etc, 1TB isnt a large amount in the home setting and should not be sold if they cannot cope with such users

You'd be really going it some to use 1TB of mobile data on a phone I would have though, but, as said above, Three do sell their router+unlimited package as a full home broadband solution!
We use about 30-40Gb per day and that's only an hour or so of 4k TV plus a bit of web browsing, ITV hub etc etc. No big downloads so hardly excessive.
Just for comparison, 5 years ago I had a 4G mobile broadband at my house in the countryside and we used about 150Gb per month, so usage has certainly increased as times have moved on.
They will lose me as a customer if they ever implement a cap.
