Had a call from a friend who couldn’t get Tiscali Broadband to work. Without service now for three weeks with “unable to contact server” or something similar.
After extensive phone call with Tiscali, the latest conversation told him to look in
Control Panel
Add/Remove Programs
Find Internet Explorer and Outlook Express then uninstall, Tech Support said..
My friend told the girl, neither were listed
"Well, there you are Sir, that`s your problem, you haven’t got the programs on your computer.
Once your have reinstalled them your problems will be solved, she replied
“But they are both on my Desktop” was the exasperated reply !
