Toob router and mesh extenders

Very impressed with Toob so far - speed and customer service.

The Linksys Velop router is a bit limited though - it's an ISP specific router that has less features than the retail unit. There's no USB socket to attach a hard drive to.

Because the retail units tend to be sold as a pack of two or three at a fairly good price it's expensive to buy just a single add on unit even from Amazon.

There are a huge amount of ISP units for sale on Amazon but I wonder what the story is behind them and how the sellers got hold of them.

The WiFi speed of the Toob unit is good but in terms of processor power it struggles with the nearly sixty devices I need to connect to it whereas my older Netgear Nighthawk doesn't.

I'm thinking of switching the Toob router with the Nighthawk but don't want to get lost in the settings. Or maybe using the Nighthawk just as a wireless access point and switch.

Has anybody else bought Linksys ISP Only extenders from eBay?

My friend in Brighton is on Toob. I had a similar but not the same Velop router spare that i didn't use from Community Fibre. Gave this to my friend and it was compatible and works well as a mesh setup.

The CF router is : WHW03CFv2
The Toob router is: MX5600 Series

Given that you are connecting 60 devices you might want to consider something a bit more heavy duty. Maybe a PFsense router and a couple of wireless access points from a decent manufacturer.
