Unlimited Downloads 24/7 ISP Help

Hi everyone

I am trying to find a isp that offers 24/7 unlimited downloads i am prepared to pay over £50 pounds a month for the service. I am currently with adsl24 the bandwidth is split between three people, we all like using services like iplayer, online gaming, usenet & VOIP etc. And the current off peak unlimited and limited 60 gig on peak is not really cutting the mustard anymore.

Any help greatly appreciated
Dal.

You're probably looking at a LLU provider in that case as an IPStream based ISP will class you as 'loss making'. Which exchange are you on?

BEthere/O2 are probably your best bet. If you go for them be sure to check out quidco for their cashback offers.

Hi Mel

I have looked into be isp they have fup in place, and i am a little hestitant as the connection is going to be active pretty much 24/7 i would envisage at least 500gig of downloads a month. And with the disconnection charge if things don't work out i have to be certain its the right choice.

Has anyone with heavy download requirements had any experience with be isp.

Any help greatly appreciated

Dal.

they all have. You're requirements are basically way in excess of what any retail ISP is geared up to provide, especially if most of it is peak time. Be's FUP is seldom seen in reality.

Be is probably you're best bet as they're network in general isn't loaded up and hence they can carry heavy users. Consider O2 also in case the package is a better fit (the network is the same).

Sky Broadband's MAX package claims to be "truly" unlimited, I wouldn't bank on that but you can at least screenshot their claims in case of a future change :) . Virgin Media's cable based broadband services also offer an unlimited service, though they will reduce speeds (see yesterdays news) after a certain amount is consumed in any given period.

true unlimited - for now anyway

i am on sky max package,i can download 24/7 @ 16mb (which is 1.6 mb per second),about 130gig or so a day.in the past 3 months i have been hitting it hard.my torrent stats for this is about 5.3 TB. NO TRAFFIC MANAGMENT.How long will this last? who knows?.lol.you do have to have the tv box @£17.50 pm.phone £11 pm and u get 16mb BB for £10 pm.if they try to rip you off or decieve you in ANY way (which they prob will try) eg.making you deals that don't exist to secure your custom, bless em.lol.,it's worth ringing them over and over shouting at them.after a month of this ,to shut me up they gave me my phone line rental free for a year.my monthly bill is £27.50

Sky max.... formerly EasyNet i think.... again i don't know the ins and outs but you could do this via a private VPN... I did a google search for reviews and there seems to be a a braod choice of solutions.
