Unlimited SIM Only for Home Broadband

So it's come to the end of the year with Vodafone that I have running my parents home internet.

They're currently on one of the cashback deals so in effect were paying about 18 quid a month for unlimited with no speed caps.

So for the next year, I've seen two offers.
33/month with Vodafone again, cashback from mobiles.co.uk (as now) bringing it back down to 18/month essentially. No issues with cashback previously but of course it's not that convenient.

25/month with Virgin Mobile for their unlimited data (through Vodafone). I had issues in the past when it was through EE but hopefully with Vodafone it would be fine.

Anyone else have any recommendations? Three isn't an option. Started that journey with them a few years ago and it was just horrendous for home internet.

Is one of the "endless video" plans from Voxi a good idea?
£20/month for 45GB plus unlimited traffic with NEtflix/Amazon/Youtube

You say years ago with Three, they have been slowly doing an overhaul with their network.

Smarty offers a 14 day refund policy so might be worth the punt for £18/£16 via simsherpa for unlimited.

if Vodafone works for you, the current cashback deal at £18pm unlimited is fair in comparison to the rest.

Not much point trying O2 unless you’re a lucky one who lives in a good connectivity area for them.

Does that work for home internet now? When i first started out using 4G phone sims in routers, I was on vodafone. I was pretty active on the vodafone forums and while it worked fine on phones, we found it wouldn't work in routers for the tv. To the point i was side loading netflix tablet apk's on whatever device back then, but still it would count as actual data. But this was when the endless video data first came out, it might work now?

Yeah I take back the Voxi idea, seems the endless thing does not apply to tethering, so it's strictly for the phone.

There's a little scandal in the comments of the Voxi article on the frontpage, it seems that even for that it's a bit half-cocked in that not all eg YouTube resolutions are covered etc so if you're watching at the wrong res you're eating through data. Best avoided imho.
