Unlocking mobile phone

I have a contract with Tmobile. I finish at the end of the month and was wondering does it have to be them, who unlock it or can any company do it.? I intend to keep this phone and go with another company.

Phone up t-mobile and they will sell you an unlock code, I did it on my 8210 and then had it nicked while I was on the phone in londond a week later!
What bollocks luck!
The code cant be used on the next phone I had.

I already paid TMobile £15 to unlock phone and cancelled my account. The customer services person forgot to send code and also to cancel my account. My account was debite the £15 and when I phoned them to ask where my code was they said it hadn't been put through and that I would have to give another 30 days notice. I told them to refund my £15 and I would go elsewhere, hence the reason I was asking if anybody knows where I can have it unlocked.:(

You'll find that the majority of your local mobile phone shops or even market stalls will be able to unlock your handset for around £5.

I am amazed. I have been surfing around for mobile unlocking for the last 30 mins and now there is a topic on here.

I have a 3310 on t-mobile and 1 on vodaphone I need unlocking so that I can go Virgin payg.

Can anyone help me unlock these please.

For Nokia:

Put in *#06# and give me the IMEI number on both 3310's. Tell me what IMEI is for each phone, ie, 3514.. for Vodafone and 3514.. for T-Mobile, so i can give you the correct code to put in to your phone.

Send to my email, ross@ispreview.co.uk.

For Sony Ericcson, sorry, i am unable to lock this phone. Only Nokia.

Ross, I was told on the forum aforementioned on this topic that the 3310 can not be unlocked remotely.

Please advise

Richard

This may well be a waste of time but my daughter has a 3310 was on T mobile till i put a virgin sim card in cost £10 direct from virgin

and you get £5 credit.

Yes ip, I understand that Virgin uses the T-Mobile network. I am going to buy 2 of the Virgin cards hopefully.

Well my vodaphone sim card works in wife's phone, so it must be unlocked anyway. Now I need to unlock my vodaphone. I understand you can buy a data lead to do this.

Anyone know where to get one from, how much etc etc please?

Thanks

Gave up with the unlocking lark.

Anyway I am keeping my 3310.

I also upgraded wife's phone to a Motorola 720I (she likes it anyway) and got T-Mobile to reduce the monthly rental to £8.50 from £17.50 per month. She gets 50mins free calls to all networks inc and I got a new sim card, which went straight into her old phone which turned out to be a 3330 and sold it for £35.

I 'unlocked' my Motorola the other day..? I kept it in the briefcase in the loft, man what a big mutha it is, must be all of 15 years old :) :D

Sorry guys for not getting back to this thread. I got my £15 back from Tmobile eventually and got my phone unlocked in a wee shop for £10. My son, who has a Samsung T100 needs his unlocked. He is on Orange network, any ideas would be appreciated.:)
