Unmetered access for non-BT customers

Please can anyone help me find unmetered access for my ntl line. So far all unmetered access deals specify that you must have a BT line - apart from NTL which makes me wait 28 days for their CD and then wants me to change computer settings and add lots of ugly customisations to my browser.

Thanks

Once you have the CD you can do it without loading the disk. I will find the link that tells you how to do it. It is in the NTL forum.

ISPs that allow non-BT lines internet access are:-

and AOL. Your choice is very limited I would go with NTL and set it up yourself.

Dear Kitty,

A while back you said you'd find the link for me to get the unmetered ntl internet access without loading the disk. They've now sent me the disk and it would be great if you could find that link for me! I'll have a look myself in the ntl forum, but maybe you could have a look for me too?

Thank you.

Hi again Kitty,

I've found your instructions and created my ntl connection. Now, I can't work out where I need to enter the info on your list for these things:

PW Enrypt
Negotiate TCP/IP
NegotiateIPX/SPX
Negotiate NetBEUI

DNS Address
DNS Alt Address
Search Domain

I am connecting fine, and have also set up my email. But somehow the DNS stuff sounds pretty crucial too.

Can you help?

Thank you,

Hi sorry for the delay I have found the link to setting up without using the disk.<a href="http://www.ispreview.co.uk/cgi-bin/ubb2/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=46&t=000155" target="_blank">just scroll down until you find the information.</a>

There is also this link to NTLworld that could help with your details.<a href="http://www.ntlworld.com/help/windowsxp/dialup.htm" target="_blank">setup without using the disk.</a>
