Upload increase on Gig1 and M500 Docsis

My nephew just informed me there is no speed upgraded yet in Telford. My mate and my nephew couldn't order 1Gig because it not available yet.

i'm near Loughborough and still at 52. knowing my luck i'll get it last like with the Gig1 rollout :(
From what I remember we were one of the last regions to go live on the Gig1 service as well. I’m guessing it’ll be the same this time around as well.

Its been reported elsewhere from a VM staff member, the internal message is a bit more detailed than originally leaked.

Around 6% of customers will have to wait for works to be completed. So that will explain why not everyone will have it by end of this month.

XGS and still 1000/50 bet I have to wait until the end of June -.-

Thanks for seeking official comment from VM @Mark.J, so by end of year for those of us who needs works to be completed.

Don't be surprised if, during the trial, they sometimes give you symmetric performance to test. But they'll probably be doing some A/B testing between different users, so I've no idea who is going to get what kind of performance to try over the course of the trial.

is it known to change during the trial?? Shame I have no one to contact, everything at home is set up for 10Gb.

can only dream :P

As I mentioned on your thread the upload speeds will vary during the trial as they play :)
yet to be seen yet though ;), if it does fair enough if it doesn't just feel like a waste

Update here, works were done on 2nd June, then some more on 4 June, got text saying works completed and invite to reboot hub.

Upload is still 50mbit, so I assume more works still required.

Realspeed now says 1000x100 but the speed is still 50 after doing a reboot.

Beyond comedy. It's pretty concerning how 'beta' the product is giving I've seen evidence they're installing it in production now, not just for trialists. They appear unable to handle provisioning and I suspect your shaping will be changed manually.

Poor.

Have the increase now, wasnt automated, seen a post from locky, rebooted the hub 5 and there it was, also had no email about it.

Tested just after midnight speed was a bit variable, but after applied shaping is steady (97558kbit), without shaping latency went up 80ms during uploads, now is same as idle latency. Will test a few times at peak this week if I remember, just to see if it holds out at peak.

Finally got my upload increase too :D

I've still not got my upload speed increase (Brighton). Not sure this is an area thing, or I've been missed.

Checking my Hub4, (modem mode) I see that I don't have any DOCSIS 3.1 Upstream channels [0]

And that my;

Primary Upstream Service Flow

Max Traffic Rate
55000270

Should that be 102000000 or similar for those of you on the 100mbps upload?

I'm trying to convey this information to VM support who are of course being less than helpful and don't understand a config file, nor DOCSIS channels.

If anyone could let me know what you see on your modem, I can let them know.

And, I've been rebooting the modem once a week since May to try to get the new provisioning file. No dice yet.

Anyone that has 100up in the Brighton area, let me know too. Could just be that we are not upgraded yet...

Thanks!

It's still area dependent due to how the age of some parts of the network, Brighton may have a tricky problem with the cable plants.
