Using your main mobile number via VoIP (with A&A)

@Lucian question for you. Can you call your AAISP VoIP number from Lyca?

I signed up, requested a new number, I can call it from Three, I can call it from my sipgate account, but if I call the number from Lycamobile it says "You've dialled an incorrect number, please check the number and try again".

Bit odd.
I'll test tomorrow, we're out and about today.

Just tried to call my mobile VoIP number that I have (ported in) with A&A and it works, I could answer and talk to myself, felt odd, but agreeable.
I suggest getting in touch with A&A, see what they say.

I have been. Ticket open. Tried two different lyca SIMs and neither can call my new AAISP 07xxxxx mobile number. Hopefully they can sort it . It does seem to be just lyca though but I can't test Vodafone right now as i don't have any working VF service and i've already spent £30 this month in addition to my regular contracts lol.

Vitalpbx on an ionos vps at present
what do you trunk with though?

oh I should have updated my post to say that A&A were excellent in helping resolve my problem with lycamobile and my VoIP. They worked with their upstream provide and fixed the problem. Really good guys, it's refreshing to work with people that dedicated in fixing an issue.

You use your a&a VoIP details for your inbound trunk, and then decide who you want to outbound trunk with.

I need to up my VoIP game  I also need to port my 01234 number from Sky hah cos its a really cool number they gave me, not giving the whole thing away but it's 01234 5 xxxx

Bedford has kind of a cool phone code setup.

Possibly my next move :)
Only need 2gb ram.
Wireguard to vps, register VoIP client, pretty secure

I got the £1 vps 🤭, only 512mb ram. Don't plan to upgrade it (much cheapness), so will run the pbx at home and uplink it in a vpn to vps.

Oh I use the £1.20 vps purely for a pihole and pivpn build with both wireguard and openvpn access.

The next version up has 80gb ssd, perfect for recording conference calls for podcasts etc.

Possibly my next move :)
Ward Mundy has written a good setup guide here:

Discussion over here:

Meanwhile I see the Raspberry Pi 5 is available on pre-order

How To: Set SIP to your server

  1. Log in to the Control Pages with your xxx@a login
  2. Click on the phone number.
  3. Click the Incoming Tab
  4. Look at the 'Target; section, and select 'To your server via SIP'
  5. Enter in the detials of the SIP credentials you want us to use when sending a call to your server

What do you guys use PBX's for? kinda curious. Internal calls? or just routing to different devices etc.

I'm not using a PBX, but I would be interested in using one for 2 reasons:
1 - internal calls, like you said
2 - ability to connect to the PBX (or proxy) over TCP/TLS - I am having major issues connecting to A&A over UDP, either can't hear the other party, or the party doesn't hear me or nobody can hear anybody.
Groundwire app doesn't work properly for me (LineageOS/MicroG stack) and don't like their "man in the middle" approach anyway.
