v21 - Want to cancel

Veryrichguy, Drgl

It is all very well saying on here 'they will get what is coming to them' however it is impossible for anyone to help you without details, so if you would like to PM them to me i can at least look at the acocunts in question. This is if you are a V21 customer?

I can vouch for veryrichguy he is a v21 customer he was in the chatroom yesterday trying to get some help for his very high pings infact higher than I had on 56K.

lol-why not ask you accounts department why they are taking £80 from people bank accounts? Then why not ask Paul Moody why your companies T&C's were changed to try and fabricate evidence for Visa? Your so stupid that you don't even realise the T&C's you fabricated don't even cover WHY you have been taking £80 from peoples bank accounts.Certainly the last time i spoke to Lloyds TSB's credit card fraud department (01702 364214) they were interested to learn all of this! I don't pretend to forget who i am,i was a V21 customer for over three years, was an affiliate(like i'd recommend you to anyone now-the last few of the people i recommended should be cancelling around about now-i don't try taking £80 from them as i've advised them once you have taken the last months payment to cancel their credit cards!! So better luck next time ripping them off!) Your email to affiliates with it's reasons for the new account cancelling procedure say's it all for me,that coupled with the fact you are taking £80 from people suggests maybe it's a matter of time before you fold? Sooner the better IMO-if it saves one person being ripped off from you lot i'll feel a lot better.

Hi as i have said in another post i cannot look into ANYTHING until i can get some account details. If you are not going to provide me with these then i will cease using this forum as there is nothing i can do to help you out.

yeah right. I think you know exactly who i am-just like the others with the £80 mystery charge. I no longer have an account with you-i had enough of paying for something i wasn't getting and your constant lies blaming eveyone and everything other than your, well,Telefonica's,network! Funny how speeds are great since leaving you. No new lines,no new PC,no virus problem, infact everything was fine-it was YOU at fault. Answer the questions regarding the £80 charge-you don't need any account details to do that do you? Your amended T&C's say it's an admin charge to cover fraud? What?! When will the Police be called? Do you want me to call the fraud squad for you? I would welcome any investigation they may do into me with regard to this "fraud"! The irony is superb-it's you lot committing the fraud by taking £80 with no explanation or prior warning. Then changing your T&C's to try and cover it!(Pity the T&C's you gave Visa were different again to the ones on your website at the time-someone in a bit of a hurry updating T&C's there???!!!!)Instead of posting back meaningless replies answer the queations for all to see. If not then do as you say-bye bye, then we can all see what V21 are really like!

Im not actually a v21 customer, i just dont like seeing decent people being ripped off by backshed isps. I am a Fast24 customer and i have posted here detailing how bad they are.

also, the problem of giving your account details here is that they might disconnect you in revenge for posting the truth.

AND charge you £80 for the priviledge. I would urge anyone who is with V21 to cancel their accounts and make sure they cancel their debit/credit card FIRST! Try any half decent ISP and see what ADSL SHOULD be like!

DRGL
as we can see form the posts above I cannot help you out due to you refusing to pass your account details to me via the private message facility. Therefore i will not answer any more posts on this subject.

FYI i will continue to look at this board for any GENUINE users who will allow me to help them however i do hope that any users that are looking ofr an ISP service read all ths posts and see that V21 are trying to help users who haev problems. They like many will see that one users refusal to pass detisl has resulted in this long drawn out forum thread and resulted in getting no where.

If you want help then please feel free to ask for this on the forum and i will help, other than that there is no real point in trying to reply only to be flamed and my employer and work collegues verbally bashed...

V21 support, we still havent heard anything useful from you mate, what is this 80 pound charge he is talking about and why are you refusing to discuss it.

when people see this post, they will see v21 trying to avoid / dodge any customer issues.

What is this 80 pound charge

Without knowing the account detials to look into any charge on a persons account it is impossible to comment. If you would like soemthing usefuil then i would suggest you speak to Drlg and ask him to let me know his account detial so i can give you an informative response.

Until such time as my mind reading powers return there is nothing more i can do!

err,did you actually read what i said?! I'll stick it in capitals for you as you seem to be having trouble reading! I AM NO LONGER A V21 CUSTOMER-YOU CEASED MY LINE! Do you want my old account number? Maybe that will jog the memory? Do you want me to scan in and post up the report(lies) you sent to Visa and Lloyds Bank?? Then all can see what you get upto? How about actually answering questions instead of making excuses??. People on the forum can make their own conclusions from this thread(and the various others with regard to V21) Maybe taking £80 from my account and other peoples will come back to haunt you? Quit the lies and give straight answers!! Whats the £80 charge for? As your T&C's dont cover it in my case! If this stops one person from getting ripped off by you lot i'm a happy man.

verbally bashed?? lol.Answer the questions!! Support?? Joined in 2003 and 36 posts on this forum?! Most in the threads regarding your tactics and [REMOVED SLANDER] no actual straight answers! Hard work here is it? Can't simply ban people or cease their line now can you? Plenty of people viewing the forums-i bet they want answers just like me and the others you took £80 from.....

Can I ask members to think what they are posting. Please follow the forum rules and avoid posting what can be termed as libel.

I can see that there are some questions that need answering but badgering and ganging up on the ISP rep will not get these answers.

If you PM him you old account details and ask if he can explain the withdrawl then enlighten the rest of us.

well can we keep it all open for the benefit of others? Let me know-i will gladly post my old account details.......

drgl rather than post the account detasil on this open forum please PM me and i will look into this for you and come back to you ASAP. I will post any findings i have on your account to you via PM and then it is up to you if you would like to share these with this board.

PM sent-i think all we really would like to know is why is V21 taking £80 from peoples accounts without authorisation? You changed your T&C's to claim it was a charge for fraud-exactly what fraud has been committed? Wouldn't it be easier to just post up answers?? I'm not alone with this £80 charge.......

Just as well as dial up was usually QUICKER when i was with them  Here's the PM's from V21,why they prefer PM's to open forum i don't know :D ....

"Dear David

After looking into your account on the v21 platform I can see that there has been some issues in the past with the account of which we have tried very hard to actually help you with especially the speed issues that you informed us about. At the time of informing these to you we did ask you to complete several speed tests as we opened a fault with the backbone supplier (Telefonica). You completed one speed test for us and sent us the results which were not ideal for a 512K ADSL connection. This was mentioned to you at the time and we asked you tom repeat the test several times at different times of the day as our network provider does require more than 1 test to work on the fault. These extra tests as far as we were concerned did not get carried out and Telefonica closed the fault on the basis that one speed test was not enough and the ISP (us) were not providing them with all the statistics they need in order to carry out and diagnose a fault on their network.

The failure to carry out these test resulted in the line issue still remaining and this probably did not happen on a previous supplier as they were not using the Telefonica network to provision your connection. The ultimate outcome resulted in yourself becoming very irate with the connection and posting very abusive message to the staff at V21 via the in house ticketing system, and the users forum. I can see that you were asked not to continue with the foul language but persisted in this and this finally ended with the breaking of the Terms And Conditions for point 6.1 (c). To knowingly receive, upload, download, use or re-use any material which is abusive, indecent, defamatory, obscene or menacing, or in breach of any copyright, confidence, privacy or any other rights:

The emails that you sent to our support staff were classed as both abuse and menacing and as such were in breach of our terms and conditions and therefore clause 16.9 was brought into effect and the cancellation was processed with the administration fee of £80."

What V21 have negated to say is i had spent over THREE MONTHS doing various ping tests etc etc for them,so to say they hadn't got any more tests is a LIE. I refused to do any more tests when they said to move the PC and equipment downstairs to the master socket and test again(it was all working with Vigin and is working again now with freedom2surf,both very good ISP's!). As above, they knew full well the problem was with Telefonica so why all the time wasting and tests? This is the exact tactic V21 use-annoy you so much with various crap that you snap-then they cease your line(but wait until Friday night to do it-very immiture you sad lot!) and charge you £80 for the priviledge.

16.9 If you terminate without notice or cause us to terminate in accordance with our rights in these terms, fees will be due until the date that termination would have been effective had proper notice been served. No part month payments or refunds will be entered into at any time. You undertake not to withdraw authority to debit your credit card for fees due in respect of any notice period. You acknowledge therefore that withdrawal of your authority for the card to be debited or any attempt to persuade your credit card service provider to charge back any monies debited lawfully under these terms will be treated as the criminal offence of fraud and carries a standard administration fee of eighty pounds (£80).

err, according to Lloyds TSB they have not performed a charge back-the only charge back they did was for the £80 charge!! So explain exactly in PUBLIC FORUM why you are taking £80 from people when they request their account to be cancelled and are fully paid up with regard to any subscription charges? The most you should have taken was 28 day's/a months subsciption, not this figure you seem to have plucked from no where!

The most ammusing part for me is the fact that the T&C's you sent to Visa were different AGAIN! It was clause 7.2 for the copy Visa got. As i have already said-the T&C's i signed up for had NO £80 charge what so ever-it only appeared on your T&C's AFTER you had taken £80 from me. I know of one other person at least who has suffered this charge. I was a dial-up customer for over three years, you have ripped me off and others. Certainly everyone i signed up with you has either left or is in the process of doing so.(and they will be cancelling their cards to avoid any rip off tactics like this) So,for your £80 charge you have lost a few more customers and will continue to get bad press whenever i see anyone thinking about using you on any forum! One badly treated customer tells at least 10 people, one happy customer may,if you are lucky, tell 5 people! Something tells me that £80 will cost a you a little more than it cost me!
