Very weak signal on wireless 4G

Hi, I hope I’m in the right place with my problem. I’m in West Wales where mobile coverage is very patchy. I have a Huawei 535 router with smarty three sim. In my shed I have no signal so I’ve put up an antenna 90 metres away where the best signal is. I’ve put the router on the mast and have mains power to it, then run a cat 6 cable back to the shed. I originally had the mast on the shed and was getting half meg speed. The only difference is the 100m cat 6 cable. This may be too long. Is there any way I can fit some kind of booster halfway along the cable to help it along?

The phone mast is 14 miles away. When I first put this together (three weeks ago) I was getting 20meg which is good enough. This has slowed down and has now stopped. I cleaned the sim, done reset etc , nothing. This is 4G, 5G hasn’t arrived here yet.

If it takes this much effort to achieve very little speed of 0.5mb you might be better off Starlink Boardband. Or if you have a fibre WiFi in your house you could wire an access point in your shed but may requires an installer to do wiring and setup.

The reason for slowing down speed could be something most likely that the receiving mast is temporarilly oversubscribed meaning that too many people are simuntainuously using data during a certain time of the year.

The shed is in an isolated location so no landline and no house. I wondered if the distance from the router to the shed would account for the weakening signal

Is the singal strength the same as when you were getting 20Mbps? I would try to do a speed test near the mast or test between 1-5am to see if its a backhaul issue. Also, testing from a device connected to ethernet instead of Wi-Fi would be a good idea.
