I have a brill 4G coverage from EE on my phone 100Mbps to 120 sometimes 140.
I have a 4G TP Link Archer - so if want to switch to 4G I can.
However, I am under contract with Plusnet for another 12+ months FTTC up to 80Mbps - get 70 download 18 up.
One thing I have done recently, I work from home most days, I have work PC and personal PC on side by side. I have set my personal PC to use ethernet/ FTTC and USB to iPhone for tethering with a better metric, so if I have my iPhone plugged in I can have faster speeds. Save b/w for work PC.
My mobile contract, on EE is up in November. iPhone 12 so can do 5G.
Was thinking of switching to VF so I can get 5G. I would like to be able to plug my phone in when home so home network uses 5G through phone. And when not plugged in uses FTTC.
Is there a home router, that will allow me to do that?
I guess the pinch point with 5G and USB will be the data speeds of the USB connection?
Thanks in advance.
