It has been noted that VM have altered the Terms and conditions to make way for phorm to be introduced, while stilla voiding answering straight questions VM staff still send out Phorm PR type answers.

G Your details and how we look after them

1. You must give us promptly and accurately all the information which may be needed so that we and Virgin Media Payments can perform our respective obligations under this agreement. You must also tell us immediately if any of your details change.
2. By having the services we provide installed in your home and/or by using them you are giving us your consent to use your personal information together with other information for the purposes of providing you with our services, service information and updates, administration, credit scoring, customer services, training, tracking use of our services (including processing call, usage, billing, viewing and interactive data), profiling your usage and purchasing preferences for so long as you are a customer and for as long as is necessary for these specified purposes after you terminate your services. We may occasionally use third parties to process your personal information in the ways outlined above. These third parties are permitted to use the data only in accordance with our instructions.

If I knew anyone on Virgin then I'd be telling them to leave.

Yes I have told all I know who are with VM plus no longer recomend them. I have also recently left them.

All my Virgin friends bar one have already left. The general feeling seems to be that, irrespective of the final outcome, they don't want to use an ISP that would even consider using this sort of garbage.

the reason I left after 8 years didn't wish to stay there if thye would consider it once then they would possibly try again.

More annoying is the fact they are willing to sign up and allow someone who has placed the worst rootkit/adware/spyware on peoples computers access to our clicks with his Russian scriptors.

Just to update, somebody has pointed out to me that Kits may not be correct as the T&C's from February 2007 for G.2 are virtually identical:

By having the services we provide installed in your home and/or by using them you are giving us your consent to use your personal information together with other information for the purposes of providing you with our services, service information and updates, administration, credit scoring, customer services, training, tracking use of our services (including processing call, usage, billing, viewing and interactive data), profiling your usage and purchasing preferences for so long as you are a customer and for as long as is necessary for these specified purposes after you terminate your services. We may occasionally use third parties to process your personal information in this way. These third parties are only permitted to use the data only in accordance with our instructions.

Only difference is "in this way" has changed to "in the ways outlined above".

My copy and paste was from VM website the day I posted it , also spotted by another person on cable forum same time.
