Virgin Mobile Move from EE to Vodafone Results

The Wee Bear

Just thought I'd share my latest test with you folks.

I'm currently with 3 for my main broadband and get around the 90 down mark.

Yesterday on my Virgin Mobile account I received a text saying I could connect to 5G where available as I have a 5G device.

It now looks as if I'm connecting to Vodafone now rather than EE and as you can see, the 4G speed is quite acceptible.

This surprised me as all the network's here were pants apart from 3.

Aparently Virgin are now offering unlimited everything for £20 or £25 depending on contract length.

I may be tempted to move when my 3 contract is up in June providing Virgin don't have a rediculous FUP. (Can't find anything yet)

Anyway, just wanted to share my surprising Vodafone result with you. 😄

Very nice!

Hard to beat Three however, especially if price is a big factor, as I posted in the other thread £9.81 per month effective for Unlimited with Three and only a 12 month contract and 5G included, once you get coverage.

This is very true Blu3fire and knowing my luck, the week after I move to Virgin, 3 will launch 5G.

A little while till June so I'll watch with interest, although Im sure it will be a very long time before 5G from any network arrives here. :(

As long as the contracts on offer are no longer than 12 months, and preferably a 30 day option even if slightly more expensive per month. After all prices are only going to go one way, and it isn't up! :)

Also, I don't know whether this holds true still on their Voda network, but when they were with EE, they only had 80/40 Bandwidth. If this still holds true, probably best to stick with Three as they are giving you higher speeds. If you hate Three with a passion like a lot of people on here, do it. Also, you might want to consider having your mobile with another provider as if virgin goes down in your area, your pretty much screwed. In our house, we all use different networks.
