I always thought you couldn’t change VM dns.So it seems somehow , even after deploying own Router with DNS forwarder , Virgin blocks sites , such as Torrent Hosters ?
is this correct
On the superhub you cant .. I got it in modem mode , with a third party router .. Somehow still getting VM blocking stuffI always thought you couldn’t change VM dns.
Changing DNS doesn't stop you from getting blocked - the service will still get blocked by VM network. Try using a VPNOn the superhub you cant .. I got it in modem mode , with a third party router .. Somehow still getting VM blocking stuff
I thought so ..Changing DNS doesn't stop you from getting blocked - the service will still get blocked by VM network. Try using a VPN
I would second your suggestion to use a VPN but, apparently VM also blocks VPNs: https://bestvpn.org/virgin-media-blocks-vpns/Changing DNS doesn't stop you from getting blocked - the service will still get blocked by VM network. Try using a VPN
I use 1.1.1.1 warp and Ivacy vpn on VM with no problems too unblock . I aslo have a eero pro 6 router hooked up via wired to the back of my house that I change the dns in settings even though it is hooked to my vm hub 5 . They are cheap enough on ebay and are wifi 6 as well.So it seems somehow , even after deploying own Router with DNS forwarder , Virgin blocks sites , such as Torrent Hosters ?

Find another another VPN provider (Proton, Nord, Express?) or buy a cheapest VPS and setup your own VPN based on Wireguard. Alternatively look at AWS free tier EC2 instance, however they may block p2p traffic (I haven't tested)I would second your suggestion to use a VPN but, apparently VM also blocks VPNs: https://bestvpn.org/virgin-media-blocks-vpns/
My suggestion would be to change to an ISP that doesn't block anything, that's one of the reasons I chose ZEN as my ISP.
Never had an issue with VM and using a VPN, so no idea what you're talking about.I would second your suggestion to use a VPN but, apparently VM also blocks VPNs: https://bestvpn.org/virgin-media-blocks-vpns/

Did you bother looking at the link I provided? It gives details of the VPNs that were blocked by VM, I also have a neighbour that has tried to use a VPN (several different ones) and, guess what - they were blocked.Never had an issue with VM and using a VPN, so no idea what you're talking about.
I've used a few of them listed as blocked with no issues in the past. but surly you can just disable parental controls, no?Did you bother looking at the link I provided? If you read my reply I didn't say it blocked all VPNs just the ones in the list but perhaps their business methods have improved over the years.
