So it seems somehow , even after deploying own Router with DNS forwarder , Virgin blocks sites , such as Torrent Hosters ?
is this correct

On the superhub you cant .. I got it in modem mode , with a third party router .. Somehow still getting VM blocking stuff
Changing DNS doesn't stop you from getting blocked - the service will still get blocked by VM network. Try using a VPN

I thought so ..

I had previously got around blocks with changing DNS , sometimes works for a while

I use 1.1.1.1 warp and Ivacy vpn on VM with no problems too unblock . I aslo have a eero pro 6 router hooked up via wired to the back of my house that I change the dns in settings even though it is hooked to my vm hub 5 . They are cheap enough on ebay and are wifi 6 as well.

I would second your suggestion to use a VPN but, apparently VM also blocks VPNs: https://bestvpn.org/virgin-media-blocks-vpns/

My suggestion would be to change to an ISP that doesn't block anything, that's one of the reasons I chose ZEN as my ISP.
Find another another VPN provider (Proton, Nord, Express?) or buy a cheapest VPS and setup your own VPN based on Wireguard. Alternatively look at AWS free tier EC2 instance, however they may block p2p traffic (I haven't tested)

I've been noticed that certain ports are being blocked, 25565 is being actively blocked on Virgin, they sudden work when using my VPN tunnel.

Never had an issue with VM and using a VPN, so no idea what you're talking about.
Did you bother looking at the link I provided? It gives details of the VPNs that were blocked by VM, I also have a neighbour that has tried to use a VPN (several different ones) and, guess what - they were blocked.

If you read my reply I didn't say it blocked all VPNs just the ones in the list but perhaps their business methods have improved over the years.

I've used a few of them listed as blocked with no issues in the past. but surly you can just disable parental controls, no?

Not sure whats going on here about blocked ports, but I dont think VM block VPNs and as far as I am aware their copyright filtering is DNS based.

Also I tested various sites on the article linked by @fenice (not using a VPN) and they all loading fine. The parental filter (which can be turned off by the account holder) "might" block some VPN web sites but thats understandable in my opinion.
