Hi people, looking for advice here, my fathers Now Broadband contract is up for renewal soon and there's no FTTP available from OR in his area, CityFibre are in his neighbourhood but stating they need permission from his landlord (it's a small block of council flats?..) and the block next to him is ready for service (his block contains maybe 6-7 flats, doubt an MDU would be installed there, I've called CF and awaiting a callback).
I have a few questions.
1.) Does Vodafone use CG-Nat on the CityFibre network? He would require a Public IPv4 address.
2.) If they do use CG-Nat, is it going to be reasonably easy for me to get a Static IP out of them as I've read it should be fairly easy to do so? (I've negative personal experienced with vodafone)
3.) I've read the VF social tarrif on cityfibre is actually 38/38 (symmetrical) somewhere, anybody able to confirm this?
If all else fails I'll stick him with the Devil BT but as CityFibre is near him I thought it'd be good to try get some FTTP for better upload speeds (currently face bottlenecks with HD content).
Thanks!
