Anything I should be aware of, I know Vodafone likes to cling to 3G at times.
Not anymore, it doesn't exist🙈
Edit: just figured, I’ll need esim because my Three scancom is physical 😔
If you're still on an iPhone, you can transfer Three to an eSIM in settings now provided you're on the latest update.

It’s not as bad as it used to be but I still get stuck on E a few times a week.

With the scancom what happens if I get a new device or reset? Will they issue me another? 😅
If you reset your phone, there's the option to keep eSIMs.

Fairly sure Three supports eSIM transfer on iOS too; but if going to android you'll need to ask them for a SIM swap for £15.

Let me rephrase that, what about having a spend cap of 0, as they couldnt really spend anything on the account
You never said that, but I hear your point.

Both EE and 3 have been known to ask for a 'security deposit' which you can either put towards your bills, or get back after a couple months depending on what you choose.

A spend cap doesn't bar all chargeable services.

However pendentary aside, EE used to have access SIMOs for exactly this purpose. An access SIMO was a plan build without roaming, access to any chargeable services etc.

So essentially if you fail the standard credit check they're is other options for the customer to choose?

Hi all,

I joined Vodafone this week (from 3) and was wondering if anyone else on pay monthly has this 'Vodafone' sim toolkit app on their device's apps screen? I thought this was only for pay as you go customers.

Have attached a photo of the app. Seems none of the functionality works & can't be removed. I'm using an android device.

Thanks!

I have it on my Android phone with a pay monthly. Depending on your handset you can hide but not remove it although it's mostly harmless.

Took out a new esim only deal on Mobiles.co.uk Wednesday evening with Vodafone. Everything went through and order says dispatched.

No email from Voda with the esim, chatted to Mobiles.co.uk on live chat who said the following...

Question is, who's screwing up here, Voda or Mobiles.co.uk. The documents for the contracts have a new number on so its been allocated a sim somewhere.

Anyone had this experience, on day 3 with no esim still.

I've seen this with a Vodafone store directly before so I'm more inclined to say Vodafone itself is at fault here.

Hi all. I have a Lebara query. I've recently got one of the 50gb £1 sims from them and activated it but i have a problem. The data speed seems to be throttled at 10MB speeds. On Voda/Voxi i get constantly 200MB speeds here but on this sim/speedtest it starts fast up to 50MB speed then throttles back to exactly 10MB. Also does the same on another phone with a different apn on. Does anyone else's Lebara sim do this? I've turned the phone off/on and tried a different phone but it does exactly the same.

I've since had an email from mobile.co.uk to say Vodafone have said the order is "stuck in there system" and i need to visit a Vodafone store :cautious:

I just knew Voda would screw up, the reason i left the 6 years ago was there constant mistakes and system issues.

Is all this hassle really worth 5G SA :ROFLMAO: maybe i will just stick with 1p Mobile.

In a word 'No' :cautious:

Hope you get 'unstuck' sooner rather than later, and trust it to happen on a Friday too Ashs.:(

Why would visiting a store help? They need to fill out the form for the back office to push it through.

My experience with Voda SA ended up being a bit of a disappointment, n1 was consistently slower than b1 and even some of the very few dual n78 masts I found were slower than 40Mhz SA on O2
