Why would visiting a store help? They need to fill out the form for the back office to push it through.
This is what they said...

Kindly be advised that I have been in contact with Vodafone, and they have confirmed that the status of your order on their end is still open. Your order is stuck in the open status and the Online Support Team at Vodafone is not able to assist with this. The Vodafone agent, that I have been liasing with regarding your failed connection, has confirmed that this is due to a system issue on their end. According to the agent, you will need to visit a Vodafone store.

The Vodafone Agent needs to fill in an open order completion form to get the status/order rectified. You will need to provide the Customer Service agent with your account number which is xxx.

My guess is maybe its some form of security issue and need see photo ID or something. Reason i was interested in 5G SA wasn't about speed to be honest more about capacity like when i go watch the mighty potters at the Bet365 every network crumbles at half-time.

Its covered in 5G SA from voda so was hoping a different experience plus the claims of extra battery life. Maybe i'll pop to the store later/tomorrow and see, if it starts getting over complicated i'll tell them forget it.

It's a known fault on their system, nothing to do with ID etc, orders randomly get stuck in processing and don't go anywhere.

Generally, the BO team will push it to the next stage or clear it down.

Am still best going into store then or reckon i could get somewhere on live chat?

I'd try live chat first, I'm not entirely sure that in-store staff will be able to help.

TBH Vodafone contact centre are pretty incompetent.

Rung up for compo after the loooonggg outage

Got told I wasn't due any because I didn't call up to report the outage, and therefore that means I "wasn't bothered by it" and am not entitled to compensation.

Best part about this is, I was told my account was a Self Service account, and when I explained that I had used the website to check for an outage - and self served - I was still told I wasn't due any compensation 😆

Enabled Karen mode, asked for his supervisor and suddenly a month's bill appeared on my account.

I have it on my Android phone with a pay monthly. Depending on your handset you can hide but not remove it although it's mostly harmless.
I used to have this when I was on Vodafone - I never touched it, as I remember some of the services on it being chargeable at fairly high rates back in the day. You'd hit "news" and get a barrage of paid texts with little to no warning. It's a bit of a relic!

I visited a Voda store today and the guy that helped me was so annoyed for me they sent me into a store, said customers services could of done it for me over the phone.

Literally just took just the account number off me and press some keys and said should be actioned by Monday.

Will see if the eSIM actually arrives.

It’s usually 48 working hours… Monday’s a very hopeful estimate.

Vodafone’s ‘Planned Coverage’ map is showing a massive increase in the amount of 5G coverage locally within the next 3 months. Very much needed, the B1+B20 sites are beginning to really struggle.

Anywhere else showing increased 5G coverage?

I dream of the day my coverage map shows 5G expanding to where I live... but alas, i'm in an O2 host area and even O2 hasn't bothered to upgrade my local mast just yet.

One day though... haha. Maybe after the Merger is confirmed something will happen as Three have 5G here.

Vodafone host area around here, they just rolled out O2 5G and it’s rubbish. I assume that O2 will deploy similarly to Vodafone in their areas i.e. the bare minimum.

Our shared Vodafone and O2 5G mast isn't too bad garetc, the O2 5G is n28 but it's just under 100 megs while Vodafone 5G is around 400 megs if I remember right.

It's a Vodafone host area too.

O2 does have 5G very close to here (in fact, they claim to cover almost the entire town except for my little portion of it)... but when I've tested it, it's left a lot to be desired.

I have been Leeds and Manchester you can see when your in a Vf host you generally get better signal but not to bad in Newcastle.

I am in Newcastle (o2 host) and great signal when near the mast on Vodafone pulling between 500-800 mbps on n78 50MHz. Has Some recent update with new n78 40MHz, n1 15MHz arrive in the city centre leading to much better speeds on Vodafone. About 10mbps before to now 100 using n78 40MHz at peak time around 4pm. Just patiently waiting for 5g ultra. Probably the network sharing agreement. I wonder if the merger will speed up VF 5g ultra deployment up in the north east.
