Vodafone host area around here, they just rolled out O2 5G and it’s rubbish. I assume that O2 will deploy similarly to Vodafone in their areas i.e. the bare minimum.
O2 host area here, you think as they both share infrastructure as well as having separate infrastructure locally that both would be able to provide similar levels of 5G coverage but that's not the case as Vodafone just do the bare minimum here.

Surely it's not that difficult to do?

What is happening with 3G refarming on Vodafone? Does anyone know if anything has actually happened yet?

Our shared Vodafone and O2 5G mast isn't too bad garetc, the O2 5G is n28 but it's just under 100 megs while Vodafone 5G is around 400 megs if I remember right.

It's a Vodafone host area too.
10Mhz of n28 around here (outdoors)…

Inside it’s non-existent.

Wish I could say I was surprised, Vodafone always seem to be problematic. Which network were you moving from?
EE/1p

I give them another chance, reordered and similar thing happened, pulled my hair out and went to the Bullring store while is was in Birmingham.

The guy was so honest with me and just said Vodafone's systems are awful and they have 2-3 people a day coming in with stuck orders. He saw it was active and just did a sim swap to trigger a new sim and set the eSIM up all for me.

These staff in stores are so undervalued by the networks!

Anyway 5G SA worked straight away, got a nice 18ms ping 600mbps DL outside new street station, pretty good so far.

Looks like mobiles.co.uk have now pulled all the 5G Vodafone plans. Maybe there has been a flood of people with problem orders like myself.

£5.50 a month for 120GB 5G SA, i reckon there was quite a few.
I got away with mine in time then it seems.

£6pm for 120GB SA.

My wife's number was to be ported to Lebara today from Spusu.
The new Lebara sim has been stuck on "emergency calls only" since 08:00AM
Iv'e never had that in the 5 times I have ported to and from Lebara
Does not look good

I spent 6-weeks with that 😳

Oh this sounds like bad news. I ordered a Vodafone plan from mobiles.co.uk yesterday with a number port all for tomorrow morning. No QR code yet they told me it would come at the same time as the port tomorrow. Hopefully it will work or it won't work. I don't want to get stuck with a cut off O2 account and no new Voda working sim.

Might be worth getting on to mobiles.co.uk and seeing if there is a larger issue?

I'm still seeing all the mobiles.co.uk offers on the comparison websites, is that with all the cashback malarkey Bubbles?

That sort of puts me off a wee bit, and I take it SA is on all Vodafone deals except basics now, is that right?

Yes it's with the cashback. £14pm without it.

Basics has no 5G at all.
Not via a phone call, that's for certain.
You did it, you made me crack a smile

Are they part of CPW? Their systems are still working for orders.

mobiles.co.uk I think is Currys. Same with e2save.co.uk and another 1 that I can't remeber.

"Carphone Warehouse is a mobile phone retailer founded in 1989 by Charles Dunstone and Julian Brownlie. In 2014, Carphone Warehouse merged with Currys to from a family of brands under Dixons Carphone PLC – now known Currys PLC"
"Curry's is the new name for Carphone Warehouse"

I would have thought their systems are all the same backend with a different UI.

I placed an order last week for a Pixel 9 Pro XL (but returned it) and it all went through OK as did the order to reverse everything.
