Volt increase speed ?

Well it seems I have to go crawling back to Virgin Media as I don't have any faith the company that laid fibre outside my house will complete the job at least any time soon.

My question is: I have an O2 contract for my phone. If I go ahead and order the M500 broadband, will volt bump me up to 1Gbit?

Thanks.

Yes to the next level from the one you are paying for
"Virgin Media broadband speed boost to the next available level (if you aren’t already on the fastest speeds you can get in your area). WiFi Pods at no extra cost if you find any WiFi blackspots in your home. And O2 Travel Inclusive Zone, so you can roam freely in 75 destinations worldwide at no extra cost"

Plus double data on the o2 SIM.

Thanks @Meatball that's good. I think I'll place an order now.

of course im sure as soon as I order it the fibre company will eventually complete their build lol. but yeah they've given me multiple dates, Feb, May, July, September and just now "end of 2023" so I give up, im not waiting any longer. But it will be just my luck that one month into virgin media they'll suddenly become available

Mobile broadband letting you down still?

Yeah i'm not having a great time. I had speed issues a few months ago, got resolved, having them again now. 20mbit on three. 15 on lyca. Same mast though, probably another mast issue. But the wife is complaining that her online classes people say that she's breaking up all the time and yeah the latency is causing problems too. I seriously do not like virgin media, and they make it extremely difficult to leave. But since openreach left me out of their build, netomnia was the only other option but i've waited a year and now they're saying end of 2023/2024 when it was going to be February 2023 before. And btw, the netomnia website says "Live" for Bedford.
