VOXI eSIM loophole

I just get:

Your order wasn't placed, as there's been a problem.

You've exceeded the maximum number of eSIMs you can order on this account. If you still need an eSIM, please chat to an adviser so we can assist you further.

I'll try again tomorrow 😂

At first it said needed to wait 24 hours and as I'd done 3-4 times in trying, it's saying try again in 24 hours. I'll give it a whirl tomorrow. No biggy tbf.

£13 for 140gb unrestricted may compliment my £8 O2 SIM.

Possibly also get friends discount to the voda SIM taking down by 60% taking to £5.20.

How do you get a 60% discount?

Mine said that, after an hour or two it worked

Finally have the esim installed. Not moved to voxi as yet, as purchased the £10 big bundle for 21gb data I'll use that up first before going to For Now.

5G works well in York on the esim loop. 200meg cap though.

I'm not able to log into voxi website though, it's annoying. No matter time or day, tried resetting get the bugs message, and then when try logging in tells me wrong user/password.

Try logging into Vodafone instead. Mine reverted back to Vodafone, but despite cancelling the VOXI payment through Paypal the sim is still active.

I hit them up on twitter and they eventually done some password reset their side as it wasn't working for me, and I'm in.

OK I want to do this. Didn't particularly want to do it on voda, but as far as I can tell O2 won't do esims for PAYG and has no loophole, (is that right?). I'm going to spending some time in an area I know has really poor / non-existent coverage with my three sim.

So can I see if i've got this right, I get a Vodafone PAYG SIM card, activate it, convert it to an esim, then join voxi ? Is that the correct procedure?

In short yes. You'll need to wait about 24 hours before you can move it to esim. Be sure to choose pay monthly to esim option.

You can get esim from esim.net (O2) , it's 30 day rolling.

£13 a month seems a bit steep for what they're offering though. Was hoping for one under £10. I dont need a lot of data or voice/texts. It's literally just for when three doesn't work.

Get this. Tesco sold me an expired vodafone sim. Me being a smarty didn't get a receipt.

Jesus.. :-))
Try to get it replaced nevertheless, there's a good chance they'll accept your explanation.

went in, told them, they said no receipt no refund. Picked one off the shelf and said look this one is expired too. still no refund. It was 99p not gonna cry about it but a bit shitty they sold them expired. Didn't know they expired BEFORE activation but yeah they do. Shame as well because it was actually a cool number on the SIM card. Oh well.

Sometimes you can ask for a copy of a receipt if you know the date and rough time you were in a supermarket. Scanned Clubcard or credit card, even better.

Hi,

I've just done this and have signed up with Voxi and paid for a month, at the moment I am getting the "Please wait while we squash the last few bugs message." LOL.

I have requested a STAC to see if things move on.

Some observations: The network name on my screen and the voicemail greeting both still say Vodafone, is this is same on actual Voxi?

Vodafone.co.uk won't let me in anymore as expected but the Vodafone app works and correctly states I have unlimited Data , text and voice minutes that expire in 29 days though says I am on Pay as you go 1.

I tried an international number as a test and the recording said to top up at Voxi.co.uk so I must be with Voxi surely?

Thanks

Of you scan the club card you can then access the receipts even though you didn't request one? (kind of makes sense)
