This could be an isolated incident or entirely nothing but OPNsense Reporting -> Health -> Quality has recorded loss of VOXI/Vodafone routability at my location despite the data connection apparently being up.
The first time, routability was lost while using the connection, and the second time, it was found on attempting to use the connection in the morning. As I think about it, although the TRB500 claimed the data connection was up, OPNsense wasn't able to ping the TRB500 WAN which feels strange.
I don't recall coming across these symptoms for other networks which I've used such as Lebara, Lyca Mobile, EE, Smarty, and Three UK.
I also happened to notice that the extensive packet loss around the late afternoon, which I usually see on Vodafone or Lebara, has fallen off or lessened, so I've wondered whether a fix to address packet loss may have resulted in loss of routability instead (100% packet loss). It's fairly usual that problems occur when someone tries to make an improvement.
Recent changes were updates to Devolo devices but those are LAN-side so unlikely to be related. I've also configured IPv6 in the LAN using SLAAC at clients but dual-stack or IPv6-only don't seem to be supported by VOXI/Vodafone in my case so the experiment didn't go further. This IPv6 experimentation is also unlikely to be related but I could rule this out with a CLI check on the TRB500 the next time it occurs.
The transition from Lyca Mobile/EE to VOXI/Vodafone can be seen with the onset of packet loss around 10% with the averaging.
