Can anybody help ?
I`m trying to run a VPN across to my office but I cannot establish a connection to our server.
All I should need to do is log in to b`band as normal then launch my VPN client afterwards. The client contains the IP details for the remote server and also my account information. The VPN should then connect to works LAN and that`s all there is to it. I`ve set up numerous clients for my colleagues and they all work fine apart from my BT Yahoo for games package. The client appears to be searching for the server but never gets a connection and eventually times out.
I believe the problem may be the Alcatel Speedtouch 530 router/modem I got with the package. I`ve telnetted onto it and added static routes to the routing table, I`ve also tried some NAT commands as advised by Alcatels tech support.
We are about to discontinue our dial-in facilities at work in favour of VPN technology so I`ll no longer have access to work from home if I cannot get this sorted.
