Wayfinder

Anyone tried wayfinder satnav software?

Will be trying it as they do a trial version, but waiting till I have to do a decent length trip as its only for 5 days.

Would much rather hear from someone who uses it.

Reason being, Im still trying to find some decent software for my phone (nokia 6110 navigator) as the bundled stuff is rather bad.

Before anyone says, tomtom dont do a version that support the internal GPS receiver, so they are out.

Copilot do apperently, but they dont do a trial version, so if anyone has used the latest version of that Id be happy to hear as well.

I use TomTom on my N73 (external GPS unit) and love it - but I'm heard pretty good things about Wayfinder too.

Whatever you do, don't use Nav4all, which was available free a little while ago (and might still be for all I know). I tried it, and quickly decided it was easier to get lost without it, rather than completely lost with it

Oh Ive got tomtom on my PDA, but thats why I got my phone, I want it on there and not having to cart about a seperate receiver.

Tomtom is definatly my prefferred, but sadly they simply refuse to answer me about....anything. The customer support is totally awful when it comes to answering a question not in the FAQ.

Basically, they cannot tell me when/if they are going to do the simple task of adding the ability to use an internal GPS reciver on the symbian phones. Something which is possible on the pocket PC version.

This is especially annoying as I have got on well with tomtom on my PDA, and would simply upgrade my licence if they brought out a new version.

Of course, if anyone knows how to enable the software to use an internal reciver, Id be very happy!

Sadly, thats now why Im looking for other software. Tomtom refuse to give a sensible answer, and the route 66 software on the phone is dire.

Unfortunatly wayfinder looks like its download over GPRS only, which needless to say can get expensive. You can download single journeys to the PC, but it seems you cannot download the full UK maps. So thats them out!
