Here's the thing,

I'm in Bolivia, and my ISP is "Entel". I'm a web developer and I was using mailchimp for email marketing.

But since yesterday, I haven't been able to access my account, not even their website: www.mailchimp.com. I called my ISP and they said that mailchimp isn't making their site available to Bolivian users. Although you can get access through a different ISP here in Bolivia. Does that mean mailchimp's domain was blocked by my ISP?.

When I call tech support, the ISP denies any blocking, they blame it all on mailchimp. I'm expecting an email reply from mailchimp, but this is driving me nuts, any thoughts?

If the ISP claims it is not them then I suspect that mailchimp has blocked an IP range of Bolivian addresses from being able to access their site, perhaps because one of your fellow users abused it to send SPAM or something like that.

You could also try accessing it via a service like this:
http://anonymouse.org/

I'm not sure if it would help, depends on the level of their "block", but you might also be able to get around the problem by switching to the free OpenDNS.org servers for managing website access. Actually that probably wouldn't help but my motto is "try everything, fail only something".

it works through anonymouse, but i cannot access my account because it doesn't support encrypted connections.

Mailchipm staff told me that they are looking into it, I hope they can solve it. Otherwhise I'll go with opendns. Do you recommend opendns? I haven't tried it.

It works fine using opendns!! thanks mark!
i'm going to use this until the mailchimp staff reply to me.
Once again, thanks!
I was really falling behind on my work! deeply appreciate it!

No problem, I always recommend OpenDNS in preference to crappy ISP DNS servers :) .
