Went with Vispa

Just signed up today, and already i can feel the freedom that is 2mb BroadBand, they even give me a Estimated Activation date (Sat, 5 June) no less! , now that alone near made me  .....! Ooh its a fine old day and the sun is out.

good evening sickboy,

To be honest there is every chance we will bring that forward if everything goes smoothly, we always like to give a bit headroom in the activation model.

Welcome anyway!

download porn what else!

lol play online games and so my usual work stuff, i own a LanGamingCentre over here.

nice one Martin, but i wont hold you on that, it took 3 weeks 2 days 4hrs and 45mins for Faith24 to get it sorted, so anything less would be a 'god' send.

lol, you missed out "and 34 seconds" :p

Seriously tho, you will love the 235KBp/s Download speeds ;)

sickboy I think looking into you account, that you have been brought forward 1 day and should be going live tomorrow.

meant with the greatest of respect to you and vispa - but i think your nuts to pay £75 a month for a 20:1 2MB package when other ISP's are offering a package with the same features and 24/7 support for £39,99 a month uncapped 20:1 (eventually 50:1) IPstream

Just my thoughts..

helper duly noted.

However please show me a 2Mb service 20:1 using IPStream at £40 via current classic Wholesale pricing and I will snap your arms off myself? If your refering to Plusnet, it's not a like-for-like product, a Home 2Mb 50:1 (when launched by BT) would be for us be around the same price.

The wholesale cost for classic 2Mb 20:1 is currently £38 + vat, that's just the rental to BT with no transit or overheads been taken into account, that why all ISPs are around the same price as ourselves, and some even higher using IPStream classic pricing.

Until Capacity and Usage charging comes to the market (and these have not yet arrived, especially Usage) then all ISPs will be the same ball park unless they plan to run at a loss for the next few months to obtain customers (notes one ISP at present which could be questioned in using this model). Capacity and Usage in our view are far too confusing for the end user in the proposals put forward to date, broadband with these models moves into a metered model, rather than unmetered.

We like all major ISPs are reviewing new pricing models, and will when a business model is working and a number of questions both aimed at OFCOM's door and BTWholesale's are answered will we then migrate and offer all our users new models.

However it's the old saying. Quality speaks volumes, and this can only be achived by the correct funding.

I have noted your thoughts, and will be brought up at our next weekly internal meeting.

I got my welcome pack this morning, so I plugged in and wow, now this is what I call a REAL 2mb line, Helper man I want to help you see the light on this one. Trust me I went with a cheaper ISP and their £30-whatever a month service, I have been stress free for all morning now and OMG the difference is totally incredible, I am not joking, it really is, no skips and jumps (down to packet lost) in online games, 1st thing I tried, 2nd thing downloading, which is flawless, surfing amazing. Take my word for it helper/lads this is a real Internet line; it just goes to show you really do get what you pay for!

Thank you Vispa, my ADSL experience was a nightmare for a while. Vispa 2mb 20:1 is the Pure ADSL Internet I was dreaming about.
