What does a typical month of phone usage look like to you?

How long do you spend on the phone a month?

I use Telegram aswell and notice issues with it just randomly timing out or not working on Three but other than that, for the last 5 years I've been on BT Mobile, EE, Three, Virgin Mobile and Sky and apart from (intermitent) bad call quality on the EE networks I've rarely had a call drop (Sky actually seemed best for holding them when going rural e.g train), I wouldn't say 3G calling is better than 4G calling or that 4G calling is as bad as 2G. And if i'm staying in the same place or travelling through an area with any amount of reasonable coverage, I can make a call that lists >1hour without any problems
It's a weird one. There's lots of people like yourself who report it generally works as it should. But I have tried different phones and networks and still have problems.

Maybe it is device specific? Threes VoLTE has been the best for me with the best call quality of them all, there was even an EE user the other day who said it was one of the clearest phone calls he'd ever had.

I last made a 'phone call on Xmas Day. I have received about a dozen calls since, but as I do not answer incoming calls, Xmas Day was the last time that I spoke to anyone on the 'phone.
I average fifty text messages per day, typically twenty incoming and thirty outgoing.

Have to agree with you there, i've found Three's VoLTE to be the best quality and most painless

Had my first ever issue with EE Voice quality today, could barely hear the other person on the phone (also EE customer, same account), they sounded like talking on top of a mountain played on a record, assuming a problem with their device (is a family member known for breaking phones) I hungup and called back on Whatsapp to have a perfect call

Issues still persisting now, even after a few restarts

This is generally how I've found it,
Three is best
Vodafone second best
EE third
Sky 4th as we can't forget they run their own IMS server, it's just awful because there is no support for HD voice at all.
O2 absolutely awful, I had an issue where it kept trying to do dial assist as if I wasnt even in the country 😁

My experience is the same expect for Sky not used them, EE can be very hit and miss for call quality, my gran got old Nokia 2g a few months back I moved her to Lebara can't remember want network she was on I know it was EE based full bar sound quality was rubbish offen after moving to Vodafone just 1 bar zero call quality issues.

I put EE one of the best top 4's

1) EE - reliable & good speed on 4G+ (false 5G logo) but most area with 5G are good speed
2) Three - Speed if great coverage with 5G otherwise poor 4G
3) Vodafone reliable & good speed on 4G+ (lack on 5G)
4) o2 poor slow speed and unreliable

That's not what this conversation or thread was about.

There's nothing as bad as a phone call with a Sky user. Sometimes EE calls can latch on weirdly but I've found EE accpet HD calling when it's incoming, so I usually just ring the person back and we can both hear each other better then. Sky's calls are permanently stuck in the 80s for sound quality, I genuinely don't think I've heard worse. That being said, I've not tried a Sky 3G call. O2 3G calls are HD, so since 3G doesn't use an IMS server maybe Sky 3G calls will be HD too?
