What games are you playing lately?

Thought this might be a fun one to ask.

What games are you playing lately? Interested to see what everyone plays, don't really pay attention to the latest gaming nonsense outside of the Nintendo sphere tbh.

I started Death Stranding tonight, I have about 2 to 3 hours playtime and it's certainly not what I was expecting. Got it free a while back on Epic and I honestly don't know whether I would have played it if it didn't get such good reviews (and a band I listen to appears in it). It reminds me of the horror genre in a way and I honestly don't know whether I would have played it if I knew beforehand.

Just by random chance I played a little Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins last night on an old Game Boy last night

I think I played that for like 5 minutes on the Nintendo Switch Online app a while ago, think they added the original SML to it recently?

My actual Game Boy is just gathering dust (I think my GB is possibly dead anyways, I know the GBC is fine and ideally that's the better way to play anyways).

None but black ops 6 looks interesting

When I can actually find the time to play something, which is increasingly difficult these days, then it's often PUBG. I am terrible at it, but playing with friends always makes the experience much more.. entertaining. I've also recently found Manner Lords to be a nice relaxing complement to that (for people who enjoyed the old Settlers games).

Manor Lords seems to be really popular right now, isn't it? Haven't looked into it too much but I'm seeing a lot of channels I watch for Cities Skylines II are also playing Manor Lords (still sucks that CS2 is still in a poor state, hope it improves soon).

Death Stranding is a good game, kinda tedious especially in the beginning and some of the fighting mechanics, l started it left it a while and came back to it after l saw some good videos on youtube..

most recent games lve played are rise of the ronin and stellar blade, not really gamed much recently bur am gearing up to hop back into Final Fantasy XIV soon as Dawntrail is dropping this month l believe due to early access, dont tend to game as much in the summer though, lm also eagerly awaiting the new assassins creed game.

I'm not a big gamer, but Counter Strike. Since the early 2000s. 😂

Limited free time and the latency of a 5G connection don't allow me to play like I used to (especially the competitive mode), but that's usually my pick.

Sometimes I get bored and play games like Assetto Corsa or WRC with a Logitech G920.

For me my go to game is War Thunder.
I've spent way too much time in this game and still play it almost every evening.

Some nice mods on retrosix, or retrosix.wiki if you're happy using a soldering iron.

Songs of Syx for me, there's a free unlimited demo on Steam i'm at over 50 hours in, so I'll be slinging some money on Payday.

Manor Lords is great, and I'm glad it's living up to how long I had it wishlisted.

I need to get back on Palworld / Manor Lords when time allows.

Just come back from a LAN with friends, so my recent oddly includes GTA5 Custom Games, Fall Guys, Crab Game and Wreckfest :)

Death Stranding is one of those games that you enjoy playing (even if it makes about as much sense as a crack head doing brain surgery), but if you dare to put it down for a couple of weeks, then it becomes hard to get back into due to all the controls / settings that you have to recall.

I think in that sense it's needlessly complex for a game that's fundamentally about a bloke carrying a weird baby who delivers parcels for a living, while messing up the environment with a metric f'k ton of ladders (i.e. basically the same as the chap who re-painted our house) and occasionally fighting ghosts - or whatever the heck is going on there 😂.
